This is a picture of us the night we got engaged in July 2009 - a few moment after the proposal. We were at The Boat House in Central Park, which was lovely. Apparently we were in New York for a surprise Big Birthday celebration holiday - but there was a bit more to it than that as it turned out!

On the Lake
This was hilarious!! Here is a video we shot earlier that evening on the lake. This is us on a boat which was taken over by D.A. who is the lead singer of Chester French after his gig in Central Park that day. (He is the bloke who briefly married Peaches Geldof.)
We didn’t know who he was at the time but apparently he is pretty famous in the States.
We made the press!!
We put the clip on YouTube and were told that it was mentioned in the front section of the Sunday New York Times!
We didn’t see the printed version but looked it up online and found it. We are mentioned about half way down - although funnily he thinks we are South African! Click here to see it!
